Season 3 of The Wizard is right around the corner for Netflix, with the split season set to premiere during the summer of 2023. The world of the Witcherverse doesn’t end there, though, with numerous projects in the works. The Witcher projects are currently developing on Netflix as of 2023.

Adapting the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Wizard it has become one of Netflix’s biggest shows and franchises on the platform. However, the discourse surrounding the show has certainly soured of late. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix’s Most Popular TV Shows list, with Season 1 watching 541.01 million hours and Season 2 racking up 484.34 million hours in its first 28 days on the air. platform.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich directs the Netflix franchise through her production company Little Schmidt Productions. Her production company has an overall deal with Netflix that was signed in August 2021.

The Wizard Shows and Movies Coming Soon to Netflix

The Wizard (Seasons 4-5)

The Witcher mothership series will continue beyond Season 3, albeit with some significant changes on the horizon. As you’ve no doubt heard, Henry Cavill will pass the baton from being Geralt of Rivia to Liam Hemsworth.

It is not known when we will have a fourth season, although recent casting suggests filming it could be launched by the end of 2023.

In May 2023, the Netflix show’s casting director apparently also confirmed that a fifth season is also in active development, which means we have at least two new seasons of the main show following Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer.

Designed to adapt the story by Andrzej Sapkowski a small sacrificethis will be the second major anime to be produced within the world of The Witcher following The Wolf’s Nightmare The tale tells the story of star-crossed transspecies lovers: a mermaid named Sh’eenaz and a human prince named Agloval.

Studio Mir is back on board to animate the new movie.


Entitled The Wizard Series for children and families

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the September 2021 TUDUM announcements for The Wizard was that we are going to have a series for children and families set in the world of The Wizard.

Given the TV-MA nature of the main series and the other titles (the blood, gore, effing and jeffing, plus the long list of other explicit content seen throughout), we can’t wait to see how this pans out. exactly in practice.
