Skyfall (2012)

If it weren’t for Casino Royale, Skyfall would firmly rank as the best film of Daniel Craig’s time as the suave and handsome British super-spy. In addition to great performances from the likes of Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Daniel Craig, it also features some of the best theme music in the franchise’s long and storied history.

When Bond’s latest assignment goes seriously awry and agents around the world are exposed, MI6 comes under attack and forces M to relocate the agency. These events cause his authority and position to be questioned by Gareth Mallory, the new chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. With MI6 now compromised from within as well as without, M is left with an ally he can trust: Bond. 007 ventures into the shadows, aided only by Field Agent Eve, on the trail of the mysterious Silva, whose deadly hidden motives have yet to be revealed.

Seventeen-year-old Stella spends most of her time in the hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, limits and self-control, all of which are put to the test when she meets Will, an incredibly charming teenager who has the same disease. There is an instant flirtation, although restrictions dictate that they must keep a safe distance from each other. As their connection deepens, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction.

Tom Cruise earned a well-deserved Best Actor Oscar nomination, and had it not been for Daniel Day-Lewis’s performance in My Left Foot, then Cruise had a great chance to win. In all, the film was nominated for a total of 8 Academy Awards, winning two of them in the process for Best Director and Best Film Editing.

Ron Kovic’s Biography. Paralyzed in the Vietnam War, he becomes an anti-war and human rights political activist after feeling betrayed by the country he fought for.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

This was the third time that director David Fincher and Brad Pitt worked together on a film after Se7en (1995) and Fight Club (1999). The film was nominated for 13 Academy Awards, winning awards for Best Art Direction, Best Makeup, and Best Visual Effects.

Born under unusual circumstances, Benjamin Button becomes an old man in a New Orleans nursing home and ages backwards. Twelve years after his birth, he meets Daisy, a girl who drifts in and out of his life as she grows up to become a ballerina. Although he has all sorts of unusual adventures throughout his life, it is his relationship with Daisy and the hope that they will reunite at the right time that drives Benjamin forward.

Hotel Transylvania (2012)

Welcome to Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s luxurious five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can enjoy themselves and no humans are allowed. One special weekend, Dracula invited all of his best friends to celebrate the 118th birthday of his beloved daughter Mavis. For Dracula, catering to all these legendary monsters isn’t a problem, but the party really starts when a regular guy walks into the hotel and changes everything.

Julia and Julia (2009)

Julia Child and Julie Powell, who wrote memoirs, find their lives intertwined. Though separated by time and space, the two women have no loose ends…until they discover that with the right combination of passion, bravery, and butter, anything is possible.

In Search of the Enchanted Valley (1988)

Along the way he meets four other young dinosaurs, each a different species, and they encounter various obstacles as they learn to work together to survive.

Smokey and the Bandit (1977)
