WWE star Alexa Bliss shocked the audience on Wednesday night when it was revealed that she was one of the contestants on «The Masked Singer.»
Bliss struggled a bit to remove the large head of the Axolotl costume as the judges and audience chanted «Take it off!» but once she did, the judges were stunned. She later revealed on stage that she had to overcome her fear of singing in front of people to go on stage and perform.

The five-time WWE Women’s Champion performs for thousands of people in the ring, but when it was time to sing, it took a lot of work to get her into the costume and feel comfortable enough to let loose and have fun.
«It was a long process,» Bliss told Fox News Digital on Thursday. «Of course, I had a few drinks and rapped Eminem for karaoke, but that’s like not singing. I had a karaoke situation six or seven years ago where I froze in front of all my coworkers, and I just froze. . and I started shaking and I started sweating and I went and sat and didn’t sing for six years. Like, I just didn’t.»
She said her husband, musician Ryan Cabrera, set her up with a vocal coach. Over time, she became more comfortable.

«So, it actually took me months to get over my fears. Ryan put me in touch with his vocal coach, Eric Vetro. And even when I had my first Zoom meeting with him, we like to sing something so I just know where your voice is. I had to put on my sunglasses and walk away from him because I was so embarrassed to sing, he, Amy Chatman from ‘Masked Singer,’ my husband had a big role in helping me feel comfortable with my voice and feel comfortable with myself, and I even had a moment of panic before the show I thought, I don’t know if I could do this.
«There were so many times I went to my husband that I thought, ‘Maybe I have to call and tell him I can’t do this.'» And he said, ‘No, you’re doing great,’ and he said, ‘The hard part is over. This is the time to have fun.’ He says, ‘You’re not trying to come out and sound like Mariah Carey. He says, ‘Just go out, have fun, dance and do your thing. And it was a lot of fun, and I’m so glad I did it. [it].»
Bliss said making «The Masked Singer» was «the most incredible thing ever.»
