Trader Joe’s recalled two of its cookie products after discovering they might contain rocks, the grocery chain announced on friday.
The affected products are Trader Joe’s Almond Windmill cookies with expiration dates between October 19-21, and its Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies with expiration dates between October 17-21.
The supplier of the two types of cookies alerted Trader Joe’s that the products may contain rocks, and all potentially affected cookies have since been pulled from shelves and destroyed, according to the company’s announcement.
The recall notice urged customers who purchased the cookies not to eat them and visit a store for a full refund. Trader Joe’s representatives declined to provide further details about the recall beyond the published statement.
Earlier this year, Trader Joe’s also recalled a frozen fruit product due to possible hepatitis A contamination.
