Two Samarians, an architect and an engineer, are the winners of the call to design the third window donated by Tecnoglass, this time in the municipality of Puerto Colombia in the department of Atlántico.
The structure will be 65 meters high from the base and up to the lamp, the «lighthouse that will flash looking at the ocean and illuminate the founding center of a municipality that was born with a pier and through which, since December 31, 1889, all the technological advances that built the country», mentions Tecnoglass.

The monument will be a structure of lights and colors that will rise on a beach that promises to become the largest recreational stage in Colombia, this structure that weighs about 200 tons will be covered with about 2,000 square meters of high-quality glass, that placed one after the other have the distance between Barranquilla and Puerto Colombia, or sea, about 20 kilometers.
Its construction, which will last about six months, requires more than 120 direct jobstwo hundred tons of steel, 80 tons of scaffolding, 732 square meters of green areas and a light that crowns the structure that will throw reflections at 20 nautical miles and that will guide the boats and fishermen who sail at night in the turbulent waters of the Atlantic near Bocas de Ceniza.
