Instead of going through all the best new additions weekly, we’ll regularly update this list below with the best new shows to hit Netflix all year.

We’ve gone through all the latest TV shows added since January 1st and handpicked what we think have been the best of the year so far.

ginny and georgia (Season 2) north

Ginny & Georgia has been a huge surprise hit from Netflix that continues to put up incredible numbers in the top ten charts.

Distraught and awkward 15-year-old Ginny Miller often feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother, irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had: a normal life. But it’s not all carpooling and Kombucha; Georgia’s past threatens her new lifestyle and her family’s, and Georgia will do anything to protect her family.

There’s no word on a season 3 yet, but given its performance, there’s a good chance we’ll see it return.

The Walking Dead (Season 11)

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Season 2)

One of the most popular anime of the last decade, the addition of any season of Demon Slayer is a huge win for Netflix.

In a tragic twist of fate, Tanjiro’s sister, Nezuko, has been turned into a demon. After showing signs of humanity, Nezuko is saved from death. To seek revenge for his family, Tanjiro trains to become a demon slayer to help his sister and stop the same tragedy that befell other families.

YA series have been extremely hit and miss on Netflix, however Outer Banks has easily been one of the most popular and successful. With just over 910 million hours watched, it should come as no surprise that the crime drama continues to get a makeover.

On an island of rich and poor, teenager John B enlists his three best friends to search for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance.

There is much more to come, with season 4 of external banks ready to start production this summer.

Formula 1: drive to survive (Season 5) north

While drive to survive not bringing in giant viewing numbers, no one can deny its superior production quality. Season after season, Drive to Survive continues to showcase the breathtaking drama, fueled by adrenaline fueled racing action. It is undeniable that Drive to Survive is one of the best sports docuseries ever produced.
