Shaquille O’Neal is on the road to recovery after undergoing hip replacement surgery earlier this month.

The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar posted a video of himself returning to the gym and walking with the aid of a crutch after undergoing the operation. O’Neal began working out on a machine while looking to get back to 100%.

«I’m about to get my game back old friends who play @24hrfitness @lafitness @lifetimefitness I’m coming for you all,» he captioned the video.

On March 19, O’Neal posted a photo of himself on social media from a hospital bed that raised concerns for the great man’s health. He later tweeted that he needed a hip replacement and thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers.

The four-time NBA champion is just 51 years old, and while he appeared to have slimmed down since his playing days, his hip took too much wear and tear. In his prime, the NBA center weighed in at 325 pounds and stood at 7-foot-1. He told Logan Paul last year that he moved up to 401 pounds.

In December, O’Neal opened up about losing weight in an interview with «Entertainment Tonight.»

«A friend of mine called me and said, ‘You’re fat,’ and he gave me this guy’s name, and he did some blood work on me,» he said at the time. «He would say, ‘You can do this, you can’t do that, [eat] more vegetables, [your] iron is low.
