Joe Rogan addressed transgender athletes, specifically transgender women who compete against biological women in sports, on the latest episode of his podcast on Tuesday.
Rogan was talking to MD Peter Attia on «The Joe Rogan Experience» about the physical size of professional athletes. The comedian pointed out that «equality does not physically exist», which led him to give an idea of the recent emergence of transgender athletes in sports.
«That’s why we have weight classes. That’s why we should have the difference between women and men competing against each other, which is why this trans athlete thing amazes me. How many people agree with this?» Rogan said. «It just amazes me.»

Rogan brought up Lia Thomas and how she won the women’s 500 freestyle at the NCAA Swimming Championships for the University of Pennsylvania.
«Swimming, I mean Lia Thomas is still the number one swimmer in the world and she’s a biological man. Period. End of discussion. It’s crazy. And not only that, he hasn’t even removed his penis and has sex with women «. apparently», said Rogan. «Simply, everything is so crazy that you can call yourself a woman and then you are a woman. And this has nothing to do with the rights of trans people. It only has to do with humans.»
«There’s a reason we make a distinction as to why men are now allowed to compete in the women’s division. If you can decide that you’re a woman and you compete in a women’s division, no one is allowed to regulate that anymore.» means and if you have a problem with that, you are transphobic. It has nothing to do with transphobia. We are talking about equity in sports. It’s crazy. It’s absolutely insane that this keeps happening.»

Rogan, Attia and producer Jamie Vernon discussed last year’s FINA ruling that would only allow swimmers transitioning from male to female before the age of 12 to compete in events. World Athletics recently passed a similar rule in track and field competitions.
«It’s just that what they’ve done to those other girls who are competing against her is just a fucking crime,» she said. «It’s horrible. Imagine if you’re a biological woman, you’re working, you’re wrong. You’re completely dedicated to being the best of the best. You’re dotting all your I’s and crossing all your T’s.» you are watching your diet. You are seeing your recovery. You are trying. Rogan said there are many other problems to deal with besides another culture war.

“We are a society that needs a real problem,” he added. «We’re looking at these very strange issues and decided we’re going to right all the injustices and inequities in the world by allowing these people to speak their truth. You’re encouraging mental illness. You’re encouraging virtue-signaling. You’re fostering mass ideology. : this ideological capture of an entire culture where people know things aren’t true. You know it’s not right. You know it’s not accurate. to espouse certain things because if they don’t they’ll be labeled transphobic. It’s fucking wild».
