Jets star defensive back Willow Gardner’s infamous moment when he didn’t recognize actress Jessica Alba lives on.
In the latest chapter of the saga, Gardner received a unique gift: a custom pair of Jessica Alba-themed football boots. Gardner sat courtside with teammate Aaron Rodgers during a recent Knicks playoff game.
The Jets star couple passed Alba during the game, but Gardner was unaware that she had interacted with a well-known actress.

Rodgers taunted Gardner for his lack of knowledge of Alba.
After the Knicks’ playoff game against the Heat, Gardner told reporters that Rodgers had been taunting him for his knowledge of the celebrities who attended the game at Madison Square Garden.

«When we were sitting down, [Rodgers] I was just getting a little bit annoyed by being young,» Gardner said at a news conference earlier this month.
«We were sitting down and he said, ‘We’re about to sit next to… what’s his name?’ ‘We’re about to sit down with Jessica Alba,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ And he just looked at me, looked at me like she was crazy.»

A couple of days later, the «Fantastic Four» star took to his social media platforms to pile on.
«Hahaha,» Alba tweeted. «I see perfectly well how this Willow boy got his name, he told my girl [actress Lizzy Mathis] ‘How can I get caught when I’m the party?’
«But in all honesty, he was actually very polite to his dad @AaronRodgers12 and everyone else in the room. Nice meeting you @iamSauceGardner.»

Earlier this week, an Instagram post revealed that he had received the shoes with images of the characters Alba played in the movies «Honey» and «Fantastic Four.»
«My boy @saucegardner didn’t ask for this but it had to be done. Here’s to new friends! #jessicealba #storm #honey #nyjets,» shoe artist Mike Jordan shared on Instagram.
«I wanted to do something fun,» Jordan told TMZ. «I hope Jessica likes them too.»

Jordan told TMZ that he had worked on the shoes for a few days, before taking them to the Jets’ practice facility earlier this week.
