Jake Paul was the Las Vegas favorite against Tommy Fury in February, but the result did not live up to the odds.
Fury won a decision in a fight that lasted two years.
The fight was originally scheduled for December 2021, but was postponed twice.
Fury was recovering from injury ahead of a scheduled date and apparently had visa issues for the second.

It’s been just under four weeks since Paul lost his first fight and Fury went undefeated. Since then, Paul has been «learning a lot» about «the mistakes I made in camp.»
Paul said he was trying to push his body to limits it couldn’t reach and that «the universe just wasn’t on my side.»
«I was mentally ready for the fight, but my body couldn’t keep up with the demands because I didn’t have a perfect training camp. Actually, it was probably the worst training camp of my life,» Paul said in a recent interview. interview with Fox News Digital.
«In the ring, when the going got tough, my body just couldn’t keep up with the pace I wanted it to. During camp, I got sick twice. So, it really shortened camp by three more weeks, plus all the traveling abroad and stuff. I just learned a lot to not push myself too hard and probably take a step back sometimes instead of always trying to move on.»
There was another unplanned mishap. In the world of boxing, boxers tend to abstain from ejaculating to build up testosterone in the weeks leading up to entering the ring.

JAKE PAUL SAYS HE CAN BE THE FACE OF BOXING: ‘I CAN CLAIM THAT PLACE FOR SURE’
Paul says that he had a wet dream in his last dream before the fight.
«It’s a very funny topic,» he admitted. «But it’s serious, man. I think non-boxing fans see it as a joke, and they think it’s funny, and it is, but it definitely fucks you up. I think that’s like 10% that marks the difference, to be honest. And all other things considered, it all added up to not being my best performance.»
Paul lost the fight, and seems to believe that the outcome would have been very different without «God’s destiny.» But still he came out with a light touch.

In the eighth round, Paul hit Fury with a hard left hook that dropped him to the canvas. It wasn’t enough to convince the judges, who handed Fury the victory in a split decision. But Paul at least has some bragging rights.
«I put the professional boxer on the canvas. Tommy knows he’s my son. He knelt before me. If this was a street fight, I’d be on the ground getting trampled and not alive. So who really won? It’s cool, this is a sport, but man-to-man, he touched the canvas, and there are pictures of him on the ground and me standing next to him. So as a man, he really is my son.»

Paul takes solace that he «still put up a good fight against someone who’s been doing it since he was six years old», and knows he’ll see Fury again.
It’s just a question of when.
Meanwhile, Paul has business to take care of, including a partnership with energy drink brand Celsius,
«We’ll see. I know we’ll fight again at some point. We’ll see what ends up happening. There are a lot of options on the table for me. We’ll see what ends up happening. I’m drinking.» my Celsius and I’m going back to the gym here soon.»
