Aaron Judge literally ran through the wall for his team.

On Saturday night, the New York Yankees slugger showed that he’s not only that, but also a terrific right fielder.

JD Martinez was the tying race for the los angeles dodgers, and hit a fly ball to the right, for which Judge had to work very hard. Judge reached out to make the catch, and he slammed into the fence and ripped it open, all with the ball in his glove for the out.

The catch has now sparked controversy, however, as Judge injured his toe and could land on the disabled list for the second time this season.

As Judge broke through the fence, his foot struck the concrete bottom of the Dodger stadium wall directly.

It may be too late for Judge, but the Dodgers plan to extend their protection to cover the concrete.

Judge has missed two straight games due to injury. Manager Aaron Boone said the swelling has subsided, but he is still being evaluated.

Dodger Stadium opened in 1962 and is currently the third oldest baseball stadium in the major leagues.

«They’ve got to do a stronger fence, I guess,» Judge told FOX’s Ken Rosenthal after the game on the telecast.

Judge missed 11 games earlier this season with a hip strain. If he were to miss an extended period of time, the Yankees would be in trouble, as the AL MVP is putting up eerily similar numbers to last season. After leading the majors last year with a 1.111 OPS thanks to a new AL record 62 home runs, he leads that category again with 1.078.
