NFL owners have reportedly brought up the conversation of voting Dan Snyder as owner of the Washington Commanders once again after his latest lawsuits with the sale of his team.
the washington post reports that Snyder and his lawyers «have demanded» assurances from the league and other team owners that he will not face any future legal liability after selling the franchise.
Those demands by Snyder reportedly «angered some owners and renewed discussion about whether to vote him off the Commanders property.» They call Snyder’s move «absurd,» especially considering that the franchise continues to face investigations.

The US House Committee on Oversight and Reform released a 79-page report in December alleging that the league and commanders covered up decades of sexual misconduct. The report found that Snyder had a «toxic» workplace and a «culture of fear.»
The committee found that «sexual harassment, bullying, and other toxic behavior permeated» within the organization.
«Today’s report reflects the damning findings of the Committee’s year-long investigation and shows how one of America’s most powerful organizations, the NFL, mishandled widespread sexual harassment and misconduct at the Washington Majors.» said Rep. Carolyn Maloney, DN.Y. in a sentence.

John Brownlee and Stuart Nash, legal counsel to the Commanders, responded with a statement to Fox News Digital at the time.
“These congressional investigators demonstrated, almost immediately, that they were not interested in the truth, and were only interested in chasing headlines looking for a side of the story. Today’s report is the predictable culmination of that one-sided approach,» the statement read. .
«There are no new disclosures here,» the statement continued. «The Committee persists in criticizing Mr. Snyder for refusing to voluntarily appear at the Committee’s hearing last spring, despite Mr. Snyder’s agreement to sit down, on a date chosen by the Committee, for unprecedented 11-week cross-examination. hours under oath. The only two members of Congress to witness any part of that statement, a Democrat and a Republican, both made public statements in the aftermath of the statement characterizing Mr. Snyder’s responses as truthful, cooperative and candid. As is typical of the Committee, have refused, despite our repeated requests to release the full transcript of Mr. Snyder’s statement.»
«The Committee suggests that Mr. Snyder prevented witnesses from coming forward, but does not identify a single witness who failed to come forward or suffered a single adverse consequence for doing so.»

There was also the ESPN report that Snyder paid investigators to look into NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and other team owners, gathering information to use if necessary. Snyder reportedly said, «You can’t fuck with me,» when he was speaking in private.
Snyder sent a lengthy email to NFL owners following the report, criticizing ESPN.
«It is particularly shameful that ESPN diminishes the real accomplishments of our president Jason Wright, who, according to ESPN, was placed in the Commanders by the League and has no power to make real change. I know you know this is false. Unfortunately, ESPN ignored our efforts to correct the many falsehoods in your article prior to publication,» Snyder wrote in the email obtained by ESPN in October.

«There is an allegation in the ESPN article that I think is important to address immediately. The article cites unnamed sources who said: ‘They were told that Snyder directed his law firms to hire private investigators to investigate other property owners and the commissioner». Goodell. That is patently false and is intended to erode trust and goodwill among owners which I take very seriously. I have never hired any private investigator to investigate any property owner or the Commissioner. I have never directed or authorized my attorneys to hire any private property owner. researcher on my behalf for such purpose. And I never would.»
Currently, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is trying to mediate with Snyder and the other owners, according to the Washington Post. He is «attempting to broker a peace whereby Snyder would sell the Commanders and leave the NFL without further acrimony.»
Offers for the commanders have been made privately through Snyder, with one offer reportedly running at $5.5 billion, according to the New York Post. Snyder wants at least $6 billion for the franchise.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, though interested in purchasing the equipment, was unable to participate in the private auction. Snyder reportedly holds a grudge against Bezos, owner of the Washington Post, which published multiple revelations that added to allegations of sexual harassment against Snyder and his franchise.
