Lawyers for President Joe Biden discovered additional documents with classified markings in a storage space in the garage of his Wilmington, Del., residence, the president’s special counsel announced Thursday.
Attorneys found the Obama-Biden administration records during a search Wednesday night of Biden’s residences in both Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. All but one of the documents were found in a storage space in Biden’s Wilmington garage, with another record found in an adjoining room, special counsel to the president Richard Sauber said in a statement.
It is the second batch of documents marked as classified discovered in a space used by Biden since the end of the Obama administration. The earlier set, found in a Biden-affiliated think tank on November 2 and released publicly earlier this week, triggered a broader search and a move by the Justice Department to examine the findings.d
