The 2023 NASCAR season is about to kick off at Daytona International Speedway.

Sunday’s race marks the culmination of the start to the season as 40 drivers will look to start off on the right foot and take their first win of the year in the hopes that it will be enough to secure a place for the round of 16. .

Rookie Austin Cindric is the defending champion at Daytona, while Alex Bowman earned his third pole in the race. It will be the sixth consecutive time Bowman has started on the front row, the most on the track in NASCAR history. Bowman will start alongside 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, who was on pole in last year’s race.

When does the race begin?

Race number 64 of the Daytona 500 begins at 2:30 pm ET. The race can be seen on FOX and heard on MRN.

Alex Bowman will be on pole. It is the third time he has sat on the pole in the Daytona 500. His Hendricks Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson will start alongside him. Joey Logano and Alec Almirola won their dueling races and will start on row two.
